Ukrainian air defense intercepted 8,000 Russian drones in June

• In June, the Ukrainian air defense shot down a total of 8,000 Russian drones, including at least 900 Shahed and Gerbera.

The Ukrainian air defense service said that in June it intercepted a total of 8,000 Russian drones, including at least 900.

It is also stated that the Dnipro air defense destroyed enemy aircraft and drones, including 32 Russian air defense systems. The report also says that the Dnipro air defense shot down at least 900 Shahed and Gerbera drones.

According to the materials, in June the Russian air defense system was also hit, including 12 anti-aircraft missile systems and 20 electronic warfare systems.

In addition, the materials state that the Russian military used Iskander-M missiles, and that the H-59/69 air-to-surface missiles were also used. The report says that the missiles and drones were used against targets in Ukraine, including in Crimea.

Ukrinform also reports that in June, the Ukrainian air defense destroyed Shahed drones (including through electronic warfare), Gerbera and Italmas, as well as drone strikes by Parodiya.

According to the materials, on the day of the attack, the Ukrainian air defense intercepted 3 missiles and 105 drones. The materials also note that the Ukrainian air defense destroyed 83 missiles, while 22 missiles were intercepted by the drones.

Ukrinform also states that in June 2026, Ukraine’s air defense destroyed 32 Russian air defense systems. Ukrinform reports that, according to its sources, the air defense destroyed 12 anti-aircraft missile systems and 20 electronic warfare systems.

Ukrinform also notes that in June 2026 (mid-year–end-year): the total number of destroyed air defense systems was 195 units, including 120 anti-aircraft missile systems and 75 electronic warfare systems.

Ukrinform also says that, according to its sources, in June 2026, Ukrainian air defense destroyed Russian air defense systems, including 52 units within 1 day.
