In Coney Island, Brooklyn (New York), eight people were shot, including four children, according to New York Police Department.
Police said the shooting took place at around 10:37 p.m., and all victims were taken to nearby hospitals. Seven people were injured.
According to the information, the victims’ ages range from 6 to 37 years old. It is unclear at this time why the shooting happened, while the 21-year-old man is being investigated as a suspect.
NYPD said that six-year-old child was killed, seven-year-old child — injured, a 12-year-old child — injured, and a 14-year-old child — critically injured.
