Russian forces have suffered losses on the front line of the RF
- General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that Russian forces have lost 1,449,120 personnel from 24.02.2022 to 02.08.2026, including 1,500 killed over the past 24 days.
- According to the updated data, 47,196 artillery systems have been destroyed, and 439,291 operational-tactical missiles have been eliminated, while the number of aircraft destroyed is also given.
- According to the General Staff, as of 01.08, 234 Russian combat aircraft were shot down; the enemy has lost 91 aircraft, with 11,083 drones shot down.

Overall, Russia’s losses in the war against Ukraine from 24 February 2022 to 2 September 2026 amount to 1,449,120 personnel, including 1,500 over the past 24 days. The General Staff also reports on the losses of Russian forces on its Facebook page, citing Ukrinform.
According to the General Staff, Russia has lost 12,231 (+0) tanks, 25,070 (+10) armored combat vehicles, 47,196 (+69) artillery systems, 1,988 (+8) multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 1,529 (+2) anti-aircraft warfare systems, 439 (+0) aircraft, and 354 (+0) helicopters.
In addition, the General Staff reports that Russia has lost 2,108 (+11) unmanned aerial vehicles, 439,291 (+1,788) operational-tactical missiles, 5,007 (+2) cruise missiles, 34 (+0) naval drones, and 2 (+0) interceptors. The enemy has also lost 128,953 (+456) armored vehicles and 4,486 (+2) special vehicles.
According to the General Staff, as of 20:00 on 1 August, 193 combat engagements were recorded on the front line.
The General Staff also states that, over the course of the day, the enemy launched 234 airstrikes against positions of Ukrainian troops. At the same time, Russian forces launched two missile strikes on Ukrainian positions, using 31 cruise missiles, and carried out 298 attacks with kamikaze drones.
In addition, according to the General Staff, Russian forces fired 11,083 drone strikes and launched 3,343 artillery strikes against Ukrainian positions. The General Staff also says that Russian forces fired on the region of Zelene Hаi (4 strikes), the region of Pivdenne Slobozhanske (21 strikes), Lyman (16 strikes), Sloviansk (18 strikes), Kramatorsk (3 strikes), Kostyantynivka (19 strikes), and the Pokrovsk district (27 strikes). In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled shelling in the areas of Dnipro and Volyn regions, and, according to the General Staff, the enemy did not advance beyond the established lines.
In the Kharkiv direction, the General Staff says, the enemy launched artillery shelling against Ukrainian positions in the areas of Pokrovsk, and the Ukrainian air defense shot down 27 munitions. The General Staff also reports that the enemy continued shelling, and the Ukrainian forces repelled the attacks.
According to material from Ukrinform, Russia has lost 42,860 artillery units as of 2026. It is also reported that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost 238,650 missiles, and from 24 February 2022 to 1 September 2026, a total of 1,447,620 personnel have been killed.
