Police investigate what caused the death of a student in New York

According to eyewitnesses, after a few minutes of silence in the classroom, police were called. The investigation is ongoing.

At the time, the school’s staff did not immediately understand what had happened, and it was only after a few hours that they realized the student had died.

Shortly after 9:00 p.m., school officials called an ambulance. The student was taken to a hospital, where doctors later pronounced her dead.

In a statement, the Department said that the building’s electrical system had been shut down. The school’s staff did not respond to the student’s calls, and the incident was discovered only after the school’s teachers returned.

School officials said the student was named P.S./I.S. 113 Anthony J. Pranzo. She was enrolled in a program with advanced coursework.
