Lemparrd signs new contract with Coventry through 2029

Head coach Coventry City Frank Lemparrd has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2029. The contract includes a three-year term with the club’s option to extend for a further Premier League season.
Lemparrd previously coached Coventry in 2024, when the club appointed him 17th in the Championship, after he led them to two wins out of two away games. He went on to win the Championship with the club, guaranteeing promotion for 25 years after moving to the elite division.
Having signed the new contract, Lemparrd said he was delighted to continue the project with the club and thanked the fans for their support. “I’m proud to be here and to continue building something special,” he said. “We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we’re ready to fight for every point.”
After signing the new contract, Lemparrd will start preparing for the new season, with the first match against Arsenal on September 21.
