Michael Thorbjornsen won his first PGA Tour title, finishing the final round of the Rocket Classic on Sunday. With AP reporting, in his final round he shot 26-foot putts and finished the tournament with a 7-under 63 to 18-under. The win came by two shots over the previous leader.

Thorbjornsen, who is 24 years old, started the final round with a three-shot lead over Davis Riley, who had the lead. He won by sinking birdies on the 14th, 15th and 16th holes, and finished the tournament with a 1-under 69. He made a birdie on the 14th hole, a birdie on the 15th hole, and a birdie on the 16th hole.

In the final round, he had a 1-shot lead over Xander Schauffele and Hideki Matsuyama, with Metta Wolles and Kristofer Venturа — a group of four in the mix.

AP reports that Thorbjornsen secured his spot in the FedEx Cup playoffs with his win, which came at Motor City No. 69. According to AP, the top 70 players in the standings following the Wyndham Championship.
