Iran, according to the report, had been ready to carry out strikes on three sites in Ukraine, but the plans were canceled after, as it claims, the Iranian side received an apology from Kyiv. Regarding the statement by Mohsen Rezaei, a senior military official in Ali Khamenei’s office, in an interview with the Iranian state news agency IRNA, said that the strikes were canceled.

The material also notes that, according to Rezaei, Iran’s air defense system shot down the missiles over the Caspian Sea.

Oremeh Rezaei commented on the situation in the Caspian Sea region, saying that Iran did not violate international maritime law. In particular, he said that there was “no violation of international maritime law,” and that it was “a missile strike.”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian forces had shot down the missiles, which, in his words, were launched by Iran into the Caspian Sea. After that, he said, the Iranian side had apologized to Ukraine.
