Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Ukraine’s forces have liberated more than 670 square kilometers of territory since the start of 2026.

In an interview with TSN, as reported by the outlet, Ukrinform said it would be possible to achieve this result thanks to Syrskyi’s actions.

According to the words, the company in 2025 was preparing in advance for the offensive actions in the next year, and the enemy’s positions were being strengthened.

Syrskyi noted that what he said about the 2026 offensive is based on the results of the previous year. In particular, he said that the forces had already liberated more than 670 square kilometers of territory.

Also, the company’s forces, which were fighting in 100 square kilometers, were able to break through the enemy defenses.

That is why, Ukrinform reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have continued their offensive operations and have been advancing successfully.

In total, in 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced from the beginning of the full-scale invasion by Russia to the end of 2026, liberating 1,403,550 square kilometers of territory.
