According to Razvozhaev, the serviceman opened fire on his colleagues: he killed one serviceman and then, after that, killed three more people, including three civilians.

Razvozhaev said that the average number of civilian victims was two out of 71 and 59 years old, and the serviceman was 64 years old. He also said that the attacker was receiving medical assistance.
