Actor Mira Riivera, who appeared in the film Spider-Man: No Way Home, has died aged 82. According to the report, her death was due to natural causes, as TMZ noted.
In an obituary, Riivera is described as having died “peacefully” at 15:00 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The obituary says her mother, who according to TMZ had been suffering from a long illness, died as a result of natural causes.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Riivera played Lolo — Ned’s (Jake Gyllenhaal’s) grandmother. In the scene, Ned’s grandmother is seen sitting in a house, watching as MJ (Zendaya) and Peter Parker (Tom Holland) walk through the street.
According to the obituary, Riivera was survived by her husband, Alexander Riivera, four children, and 11 grandchildren. It also notes that, according to Hawaii Public Radio, she was married to an engineer from the island of Anjii Kelli, who died in 2022. Riivera’s husband reportedly died earlier, according to a post on Facebook.
