Ukrainian drone kills 3 civilians in the Arkhangelsk region

In an interview with 93.ru, a resident of Oleksy Bogodistov said that the explosion occurred at 8:34 a.m. and that she could hear it for 10 minutes. She said that the windows were shaking, that she heard the sound of the explosion, and that she wanted the system to work, but it did not.

General Directorate of the Krasnodar Territory’s Investigative Committee opened a case after a Telegram channel posted a video about the possible impact of the drone in the Arkhangelsk region. Meduza obtained the video and says that in it, it is possible to see, in the footage, how the drone’s trajectory changes as it moves.

Agentstvo, citing an analysis of Russian media reports, suggests that the Russian air defense system may have been unable to intercept the drone. The agency claims that the drone’s trajectory could change due to fragments in the video, published in the Ukrainian-language Telegram channel Supernova+, which, according to the agency, was damaged.

The mother also said that she had been trying to shield her children. OSINT analyst Kirilo Mikhailov, in a comment to Meduza, said that the sound in the video could be caused by the drone’s impact, but that it is also possible that the drone’s sound is due to other factors. The war analyst Devied Sharp, who spoke to The Insider, believes that the reason for the drone’s failure to intercept may be either a malfunction or a failure in the air defense system; at the same time, he notes that the sound in the video could indicate a different kind of threat, which may have been the drone’s real target.

The mother added that the drone’s impact was followed by a fire, which spread in front of the house. She said that it was the Rassvet facility, which belongs to the NPO Mashinostroyeniya. She also said that the object, which she called “the Path of Putin,” was damaged; and that she had been told that the drone’s target was the “Path of Putin,” and that the drone’s impact was not accidental, but rather deliberate.
