Russian logistics behind Epicentr’s fire incident, according to authorities

In the first five days, Russian forces launched attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure facilities, including factories and logistics complexes. For more details, Sergey Koretskyi, the minister’s adviser, wrote in a Telegram post, citing information from Ukrinform.

According to Koretskyi, the Ministry of Economy and other relevant authorities did not provide any information to the public about the alleged involvement of Russian logistics in the attacks on Ukrainian logistics facilities and businesses.

At the same time, the adviser said that the targeting of Epicentr’s logistics facilities was carried out at a time when the company’s logistics hubs were located in Kyiv and Kyiv region. He also said that the investigation is ongoing.

In addition, the material notes that the logistics center of Nova Poshta in Kyiv was used to deliver goods to the company.

Meanwhile, as noted in the material, the Russian attacks on Epicentr’s logistics facilities were carried out as part of a broader campaign against Ukrainian businesses. In particular, one of Epicentr’s logistics warehouses in Kyiv region is located in Vyshneve, while another is in Kalynivtsi. The company’s management said it has no information about the possible involvement of Russian logistics in the attacks.

According to the adviser, it is believed that the attacks on Epicentr were carried out in part due to the presence of logistics facilities in Kyiv and Kyiv region. He also said that the company’s logistics hubs were used to supply goods to customers across Ukraine.

As for the material, it states that in the first five days of the Russian invasion, two Epicentr logistics facilities were targeted. In Kyiv region, the attacks hit the company’s logistics hub in Brovary district, Bucha district, and Fastiv district, while in Kyiv the attacks affected facilities in the city’s districts.
