Trade surge in Congo for imports of goods from Ukraine

The World Health Organization (WHO) says that Adhanom Gebreyesus’s trade with Congo, which accounts for the majority of goods in Congo, has led to an increase in the number of deaths to 4,000.

As it is explained, trade between Congo and Ukraine has been growing rapidly since the beginning of 2014, with the number of goods in the region increasing by 28,000 imports and 11,000 deaths.

In total, the Ministry of Health of Congo has recorded 3,874 new cases, of which 1,751 ended in death.

The material notes that the spread of the virus is likely to be linked to the fact that the majority of cases are concentrated in the same areas, and that the spread of the virus is continuing. It is also noted that the number of deaths is expected to increase as the virus spreads further.

According to the report, the virus is likely to spread in the region due to the lack of effective measures to prevent its spread.

Director-General of the African Centre for Disease Control and Prevention John Casey said at a press conference that the disease is spreading: “At least 60–70% of new cases, according to our data, are due to contact with infected people.” The material also notes that the disease is likely to spread further.

Meanwhile, the report says that the number of deaths among those infected is 45%. According to the Ministry of Health of Congo, 77 new cases were recorded over the past 24 hours, with 44 deaths. At the time of writing, 717 patients have been treated, while 749 have died.
