Chelsea, according to BBC, are looking to sign Rayo Vallecano defender Pep Chavarría. The outlet claims the club may have to pay no less than £20m, while the same source says that the clause could be lower, with Chelsea’s purchase of the player in the summer window for £15m after the deal is completed.

Sky Sports adds that Chelsea have already agreed a fee for Chavarría close to £16.3m (€19m) plus bonuses. The report also says the player has a release clause that would allow him to leave for a set fee.
