Russia may launch a new wave of mobilization that could take the form of a large-scale push into the country’s ongoing war, according to Ukrainian media.

According to Syrskyi, the risk of a new wave of mobilization in Russia is real, but it’s still unclear what exactly it will look like.

Syrskyi also noted that Kremlin officials are likely to implement this plan as a last resort. In particular, he said that conscription could be carried out in the Russian Federation on April 18–19, 2026.

Syrskyi added that the Ukrainian military command believes the Russian army could try to launch an offensive operation by using mobilized personnel.

Earlier, it was reported that starting in 2026, Russia could mobilize 183,500 Russian servicemen, while it had already mobilized 180,500.

In addition, it is stated that the Russian media Vazhnye Istorii will publish a report on the mobilization of Russian troops, and that it will be about the role of the Russian army in the regions, where the fighting will be intensified.
