- With one stroke, Russia is closing border crossings with Finland, Latvia and Estonia.
- It is closing the points for entry, customs, passenger and freight traffic: Vyborg, Svetogorsk, Värtsilä, Lutiyа, Sankt-Peterburg-Finland railway, Pechory-Pskov and Pitalovo.
- The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that it is closing these border points with Finland and Latvia because, in its words, the end of the “agreement” has arrived.

Russia is shutting down rail border crossings with Finland, as well as with Latvia and Estonia, with one move. The Russian side says that the reason is that the documents are no longer in effect.
In short, with the cancellation of the agreements, the border crossings are being closed.
On the border with Finland, Vyborg and Svetogorsk are being closed, while Värtsilä and Lutiyа in Latvia are also being shut down. The closure also affects the Sankt-Peterburg-Finland railway point.
On the border with Estonia, the rail crossing with Pechory-Pskov is being closed, and the point with Pitalovo in Pskov Oblast is being shut down.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that it has notified Finland, Estonia and Latvia in advance. The ministry also notes that the agreements have been terminated and that the reason is that the documents are no longer valid.
As a result, from the moment of the cancellation, the points for passenger and freight traffic are being closed. In addition, on the border with Finland, the points are being closed, while on the border with Latvia and Estonia, the railway crossings are being shut down.
