Roberto Williams III’s contract with the Trail Blazers runs through 2028-29

Central to the deal is Portland Trail Blazers, which AP has learned from a source familiar with the matter. The contract, according to the report, will run through the 2028-29 season.
ESPN reports that the three-year contract is worth $44 million in total. Agent Kevin Bredbury of LIFT Sports Management negotiated the deal for ESPN with Charania of Sham’s.
Under the terms of the contract, Williams, who is 28 years old, is set to average 6.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in the upcoming season. According to ESPN, the contract also includes a 70% chance of triggering an option, based on the team’s performance over the course of the season.
The playoff team option for the next season will be exercised by Williams’ contract. ESPN adds that he will earn a bonus if he plays in 59 games during the season, as well as a bonus if the team wins three straight games after the season ends.
AP adds that the deal is expected to be worth $17.1 million over the next 59 games. The contract also includes a provision that if the team plays another 10 games, it will be worth $17.1 million, and that the player will be paid by the team’s playoff team option.
