Salah passes fitness test ahead of Egypt’s World Cup match against Australia

Egypt captain Mohamed Salah has passed the fitness test, taking part in a training session with the team after a hamstring problem.

Salah’s injury is now behind him, and he is expected to be ready for the 16th-final against Australia on Tuesday at 20:00.

Salah opened the scoring in the 1-1 draw with the same stage of the group, after which he scored twice to secure the win for his team.

Photo posted on Facebook by the Egyptian footballer showed Salah working out with the team in Sokhna, where the squad is currently preparing for the match against Australia. He wrote in his caption: “The King is back”.

Salah completed full training before the 16th-final, while another teammate, Belgium’s goalkeeper Mignolet, was absent due to injury. Salah scored one goal and created two assists in that match.
