China’s military leadership said that during the 105th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, it would demonstrate military might and modernize the army, while also increasing its military presence in the region.
In a statement in Beijing, China’s military warned that the “strength of the army” depends on the “ability to strike” in the event of a conflict. It also said that the “assault on Taiwan” is a matter of national security.
According to the statement, the plan is to conduct a series of missile and drone strikes, with the aim of taking control of the air and sea and disrupting communications and logistics. The country’s leadership added that it would not allow any external interference in the conflict.
Earlier, the Taiwan side said that China has been preparing for an attack on the island for some time, including through military exercises and the deployment of troops. It also noted that the Chinese military’s actions pose a direct threat to regional stability.
Meanwhile, China’s leadership claims that the island is part of China and that it will take all necessary steps to ensure its unity. The statement also emphasizes that any attempt to interfere in China’s internal affairs will be met with a firm response.
