Ongoing match at Wimbledon 2026 on the third day

The third day of Wimbledon 2026 kicks off with matches on the main courts, with the afternoon featuring Osaka against Naomi Osaka. AP reports.

AP also notes that Osaka will play a different style opponent: her opponent’s look is inspired by the film “Kill Bill,” which she wore to the tournament. Osaka’s match against the other player starts with the afternoon’s first-round matches.

According to Guardian, the third day’s schedule includes only a few matches on the central courts. At Centre Court at 1:30pm: Jannik Sinner vs. Nuno Borzhesa, followed by Barbora Kreychikova vs. Mira Andreevova, with the match ending in a decisive set. At No 1 Court at 1pm, as reported by Guardian, Arina Sobolenko plays against Makartrni Kessler, while Coco Gauff takes on Solani Syferi. Independent also notes that Sobolenko plays on No 1 Court at 1pm, and Sinner — on Centre Court later in the day against Borzhesa.

Independent adds that there are no British players on the third day. Daniel Evans is set to advance in his match against Court 15 at 11am.

AP also adds that defending champion Serena Williams will play on Centre Court, while the first match of the day features Myra Doyle in a three-set match. The match is expected to be the longest of the day. The tournament will continue with the final set on the third day.
