Denmark has approved additional military aid for Ukraine totaling DKK 4.4 billion (about $670 million, or EUR 590 million). The decision was made by Denmark’s Ministry of Defense, following information provided by Bloomberg.
The new package includes a continuation of the freeze on export controls. It will also provide additional support to help Ukraine’s defense with financial assistance totaling DKK 1.3 billion for the continuation of military support.
The Danish Ministry of Defense said that it is about strengthening Ukraine’s freedom and that the package will also be used to support the country’s defense capabilities. In particular, it is planned to allocate up to DKK 80 billion in total.
As noted, Denmark is one of the biggest active supporters of Ukraine: since 2022, it has provided military aid totaling DKK 76.8 billion. It will also be recalled that Denmark’s Defense Ministry Lars Lokke Rasmussen said in his “new day for Ukraine” speech that the country will continue to support Ukraine, even if it takes time.
It is also known that on April 24, 2025, Denmark’s Minister of Defense for Ukraine paid a visit to the Build with Ukraine initiative to discuss cooperation in the development and production of Ukrainian defense technologies.
