Berkshire Hathaway, through its investment arm, The Wall Street Journal, filed a lawsuit, accusing the newspaper of misrepresenting its reporting about the Gates Foundation. The lawsuit argues that the article’s conclusions were based on improper interpretation of documents from the Epstein case.

In a statement to WSJ, Buffett’s fund said it had been investigating the case for years and that the newspaper’s claims were inaccurate. Reuters previously reported on a similar dispute, and Berkshire Hathaway’s fund did not comment on the matter.

The foundation said it was concerned about the impact on its reputation, noting that the article’s claims could be interpreted as implying a connection between Gates and Epstein. The foundation added that the newspaper’s reporting was not supported by the underlying evidence.

Buffett, whose company Berkshire Hathaway is 95 years old, has been investing in the Gates Foundation for decades, and the foundation’s fund says it has no connection to Epstein.
