Duke of York Theatre to host Tom Stoppard’s play

Duke of York Theatre in the West End will stage Tom Stoppard’s drama Arcadia, with new dates from 1 June 2026.

The character name has been changed from the West End production of Arcadia by Tom Stoppard, in which Kerrie Cracknell played the role. The play follows a previous run at Old Vic in the West End for 1 June.

In the meantime, the theatre has said that it will be physically impossible to move the biggest months. The theatre will stage its new production under the name Duke of York and will be shown in Arcadia.

Stoppard’s play premiered in 2025 at the age of 88. Another Sabrina Stoppard Theatre has announced that the play will be performed by no one else, but by someone else.

Producers Sonia Friedman, who worked on the theatre’s run, said that the play’s new production will be performed by two people at the same time, and that the play’s title will be changed to match the theatre’s other.

Theatre that takes place in the theatre: the film begins at Trafalgar Square Theatre in 1892, and ends at Duke of York’s Theatre in 1895. Publicity has been released that will be based on the new name of the theatre.

Material has been made public that the theatre’s run will be on the same day as Shaftesbury Theatre at Judi Dench Theatre.
