Meta plans to build its own AI infrastructure, which will provide access to additional computing power for AI models. For more details, see Bloomberg’s material about 2026-07-01.

In addition, international companies may be competing for large-scale computing power, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. The company plans to follow SpaceX’s approach through xAI.

Meanwhile, the material notes that Meta is investing heavily in AI infrastructure. The first-quarter results show the company’s AI infrastructure in the amount of $182.9 billion in the current year, and the project in Luxembourg may take three years to complete.

In parallel with infrastructure plans, the company has launched a new round of internal climate for the AI sphere. According to AFP, 2026-07-01, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp employees were told about the new AI model, which will be used for training in the near future.

AFP also notes that it is expected to take several months for the company to start implementing the AI infrastructure project. It also plans to launch the Model Capability Initiative, scheduled to begin on 22 April, with the aim of developing AI agents.

Meta’s spokesperson told AFP that the company is rolling out the program in stages to ensure that the work of Meta employees is not disrupted.

At the same time, it is expected that Meta will be competing with Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic in the AI model market, and that it will also be working to secure its place in the organization’s partnership network, which will help accelerate the development of AI.
