USMNT begin their campaign with a 2-0 win over Gerzegovyna

Balogun’s goal, which came through a VAR review, gave the US the lead. At the 82nd minute, Malik Tillman doubled it with a strike from the edge of the box.

In the 1/16 final, the US will face Belgiiya. The match is scheduled for the following day after the 6 p.m. PT, 8 p.m. ET. Belgiiya’s team will play the US after a 0-2 loss.
