According to preliminary information, a fire broke out after the explosions. It is also reported that the first strike hit the AVT-6 oil unit, while the scale of the damage is being determined.
The oil refinery in Kstovo is one of the largest in Russia. The project capacity is about 17 million tons of oil per year, and the processing includes gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet fuel, as well as producing various petroleum products.
