Former President Donald Trump paid $10.71 million for the licensing rights to Amazon MGM’s documentary film Melania, according to financial disclosures made public.
Earlier, it was reported that Amazon had spent nearly $40 million to secure the rights to Bertter Ratner’s book, with $28 million paid to the author’s estate. In total, Amazon MGM invested $35 million in the film, which was released on Prime Video for $16.6 million.
Jeff Bezos’ attorney said in a statement that he was not aware of the allegations. “I don’t know anything about this matter,” he said. “I don’t know anything about the allegations.”
According to financial disclosures, Trump paid $521,161 for the rights to a memoir from Skyhorse Publishing. The disclosures also note that he paid $6 million in royalties for “NFT and other collections”, which were created by someone else.
Earlier, Trump said that he was not going to sell the “Melania” NFT collection, for which he had previously paid financial disclosures.
BBC material states that in the new financial disclosures, Trump’s assets are worth about $2.2 billion per year, according to the Blog of the BBC. The reason for this is that the company’s profits are higher, and also because of the rise in the value of the company’s shares.
In a CNN report, it was noted that details of Trump’s financial disclosures were published in a new report, and that the average Trump comments were based on his financial disclosures.
