Since Russia launched 903 attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region, 1,140 artillery shells were fired

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 903 attacks on the Zaporizhzhia region. Three people were injured as a result of shelling in the Zaporizhzhia district.

According to the instructions of the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, the shelling hit a number of settlements.

According to the data provided by the General Staff, Russian forces launched two missile strikes, in addition to 652 drone attacks. The Russian army also launched two air strikes from tactical aviation systems.

In addition, Russian forces fired 231 artillery shells during the day. These included Stepanohirsk, Pidmore, Stepove, Pavlivka, Luhyanyvskyi, Malyk Shcherbaky, Orikhova, Hulyaipole, and other settlements. In total, according to the reports, 116 artillery shells were fired at the region, while automated systems were also used.

Meanwhile, according to the General Staff, the number of Russian troops killed in Ukraine as of July 2 stands at 1,405,900. Of these, 1,140 were killed over the past day.

In addition, the General Staff said that Russian forces lost 45,168 artillery systems (+57) and 1,910 tactical missile systems (+7). The General Staff also noted that the number of Russian aircraft losses increased.

Operationally, according to the General Staff, Russian forces suffered 259 combat losses in the past day, with the front line situation as of 08:00 on 2 July. The Russian army lost 79 aircraft and 9,463 drones, and additionally 2,924 missiles, including 36 launched from MLRS.

Ukrainian forces destroyed a command post of the enemy in the areas of combat operations.
