Bournemouth are looking to sign Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche, according to NYT and BBC Sport.

As for the deal, the fee could be close to €30 million, with €25 million up front and €5 million in add-ons. It is also reported that the deal could include a clause worth up to €18 million (about €8 million), which would be triggered by appearances. BBC Sport also writes that the number of clubs interested in the player includes Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United, but Bournemouth are the ones pushing hardest, with the win not yet secured.

Alvaro Rodriguez, who is 21, has already agreed a contract with the club and is expected to join Bournemouth from Vitality Stadium. The contract includes a clause that the fee will be paid in full by 2031.

Real Madrid will receive 50% of the transfer, with only Rodriguez's agent's commission. The player is expected to sign a new contract with the club.

Bournemouth are set to complete the deal in the coming weeks. The club is also expected to sign a new striker, who will be the main target for the next transfer window.

Alvaro Rodriguez scored 26 goals for La Liga side Las Palmas, while also scoring three and one in the league. In 2025 he will have a contract until 2029, with the club's agreement: the player will be paid semi goals and five assists.

The forward has a clause in his contract that could be activated if he is transferred for up to 20 years. The player scored five goals at the U-20 World Cup 2023, and his performances helped the team reach the final match.
