As of July 2, 2026, Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani has not commented on his departure from Boca Juniors after three years.
Information was confirmed by the ZMİ, which announced on its website that the Uruguayan player would not continue his career in Valencia. Cavani played 81 matches for Boca and scored 28 goals, but he did not win any titles during his time there.
According to AFP, Cavani left “in the middle of the moment,” after which he had not said anything to the club. It is also reported that he was injured for 90 minutes in the last match.
The Uruguayan forward did not comment on his departure from the club. Earlier, it was noted that “he will be leaving — without saying goodbye,” and he was quoted as saying that he would “not retire.”
Playing for PSG (2013–2020), Cavani won the League 1 title, and then won the Manchester United trophy in the next two years. In his second stint, the Uruguayan scored 58 goals in 136 matches, while his first stint ended with 90 goals in 58 matches.
