After England’s DR Congo match ended 2-1, ticket prices on resale sites are expected to be higher than on Fifa, with tickets priced at £2,600. The cheapest resale ticket is from 4,000, while the most expensive ticket on the day is in 80,824 seats.

Real-life ticket demand is already high, with the most expensive tickets on Fifa selling for less. On the Fifa website, the cheapest ticket for the DR Congo match is 250, while the highest price is 273, going up from 250 to 429.

The cheapest single ticket for category 1 for seats with a view of the pitch costs $295 (£224), while the most expensive is $3,000 (£2,280). With resale prices, the cheapest ticket on Fifa is £2,622, which is still in 12 times cheaper than the average.

For category 2, the cheapest ticket is $170 (£129) for seats with a view of the pitch, while the most expensive is $5,175 (£3,933), and is available in 30 seats. According to SeatGeek, the cheapest ticket costs $3,887 (£2,954) in total.

However, the price is not the only factor, as the ticket prices in Mexico City are lower than in the US: tickets start from $80 for two nights.

Meanwhile, the average price for England vs DR Congo tickets is 16.3m for the broadcast on BBC. The average audience for BBC TV begins at 17:00 BST and the 14m viewers, while the BBC iPlayer audience is BBC Sport with 10.4m viewers.
