Swiatek beats third seed Krejcikova in Wimbledon third round

In the second round, Swiatek defeated Wimbledon runner-up Karolina Pliskova in straight sets to reach the third round. She previously won the match 6-1, 6-3.
According to BBC Sport, Swiatek won the first set in a tie-break, winning two games in a row. In the second set, she broke her opponent’s serve and then held her own. She won the match 6-1 6-3.
In the first set, Swiatek broke serve, while Pliskova managed to respond with one break. In the second set, Swiatek broke serve again and then held her own. In the third set, Swiatek broke serve and then held her own to win the match.
BBC Sport also notes that the match lasted 69 minutes, and Swiatek won 31 points in total. According to L’Équipe, Swiatek won the first set in 25 minutes, while her opponent won only one game in that time.
Swiatek will play the next match against either Alexander Ealina or Mayi Dzhon, who advanced to the third round, beating L’Équipe. BBC Sport also reports that Swiatek is now one win away from reaching the final at Wimbledon.
Meanwhile, according to The Independent, Medison Keys, who won the match against Anisimova in two sets — 6-1, 6-4 — will advance to the next round at Wimbledon.
Keys will face the winner of the match between Anisimova and Kenin. In the first set, Keys broke serve early and then held her own. For Keys, the next match will be against the winner of the match between Anisimova and Kenin.
