Swift and Trevis Kelce donated $26 million to charitable organizations ahead of their all shows at Madison Square Garden in New York, according to AP.
According to AP, the donations will go to 20 national charitable organizations. The total amount will not be broken down by each organization, as AP’s statement from their team says, and the money will be provided in connection with the charity challenges, which are expected to take place during the four shows.
Among the organizations are Food Bank For NYC, City Harvest and Musical Mentors, whose work, according to the statement, includes providing musical instruments to children.
The sum, which is being donated by the charitable organizations, will be distributed. In addition, the donations will include: Rhode Island Community Food Bank, which Swift will meet with at Watch Hill; Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri; and Kelce’s hometown team, the Kansas City Chiefs.
Other national groups that will also receive support include Imagination Library, part of the Dolly Parton program, Feeding America and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
AP reports that it is not clear exactly how much each charity will receive. In the statement, AP notes that Swift and Kelce, whose charity challenges are described as “charity challenges,” will support charitable organizations.
Independent reviews of the donations indicate that Madison Square Garden will have a charity challenge for each show, which is expected to take place during the fourth show.
