President Kabo-Verde Jozé Maria Neves said, ahead of the 1/8 final, that the match could end in a 1-0 victory for Argentina.

“With all due respect to Neves, regardless of the outcome, the team’s chances are not affected, and there will be no reason to panic,” the president said. “The win will depend on the players’ performance.”

The match between Argentina and Kabo-Verde is set to kick off in May at 22:00 GMT. Neves believes the “delayed” Kabo-Verde team will play “with discipline” and “will come out strong” in the tournament.
