Georgia’s goalkeeping after Belgium’s match against Senegal: Rudy Garҫia says that hegoalkeeping after Belgium’s match against Senegal was not surprising against African teams. He explains this in an interview with Associated Press, posting his reasoning in an Instagram publication.
Belgium in the match came back from 32 shots down 2-0 to win 3-2. He also said that the goal that came in the middle, the one that came next, and the goal that came later were all the result of the same mistake.
Senegal were leading 2-0 until the end of the game. The goal by Romelu Lukaku at the 125th minute equalized the score and gave Belgium a draw.
In the final part of the match, Georgia’s coach, ZMЖ, said, citing: “We know those teams, they lose their tactical structure toward the end of the match”. During the break, he added: “We also knew that at 2-0 (up) they would do everything to protect their goal, which in my opinion is a grave mistake. Remind me when we’re leading 2-0 not to do that.”
Rudy Garҫia’s comments were criticized by the African football player. In an interview with Associated Press, he said that he had posted on Instagram, claiming that “those teams” were unable to keep the game’s pace in the final stage, which is why the words were not surprising against African teams.
Associated Press also reports that Georgia added: “the goalkeepers might have been able to score with the help of the ball, but they were not able to do so.” The win was explained by the fact that the team was able to score.
In the match with Senegal, Belgium’s next opponent was United States.
