Putin’s approval rating to Volodymyr Putin at its highest level in a year
- Approval of Volodymyr Putin among 3.4% of respondents points to a 73.3% share of support for Putin according to the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM).
- Support for Putin’s actions has risen to 66.9%, while the share of those who do not approve has fallen to 21.3%.
- FOM polling shows that 70% of respondents say they approve of Putin’s work, while the figure for disapproval is 71%.
According to RBC Ukraine and Meduza, the approval rating of Russian President Volodymyr Putin among 3.4% of respondents — up to 73.3% — remains the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VTsIOM) result, as reported by Agentstvo. According to the survey results, the share of those who do not approve of Putin is 22.1% (with the figure for those who disapprove being 18.8%).
Overall, the approval rating of Putin’s actions has decreased by 3.5 percentage points — to 66.9%. The share of those who do not approve of his work stands at 21.3% against 19.7% for those who do approve.
The material notes that the sharpest drop in approval of Putin since the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine is expected to be in 2026, with the rating declining to 1.8 percentage points for his approval.
Meanwhile, the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) poll suggests that 70% of respondents approve of Putin’s work — by 1 percentage point less than the share of those who disapprove. At the same time, the share of those who disapprove of the president is expected to rise from 69% to 71%.
It is also noted that FOM and VTsIOM see a decline in Putin’s approval ratings in 2026, while his approval is expected to remain stable in Russia.
