All Blacks beat France in inaugural Nations Championship
- New Zealand’s All Blacks beat France 34-32 in the inaugural Nations Championship in Cardiff.
- Will Jordan scored two tries in the 7th and 71st minutes, while Peter Lakai scored for the visitors.
- France beat without Antoine Dupont at the Stade de France; their next match in the Nations Championship is against Australia on 11 June at Brisbane, while Japan is 18 June in Tokyo.
In the inaugural Nations Championship match in Cardiff, New Zealand’s All Blacks beat France 34-32. Will Jordan scored the decisive two tries — in the 7th and 71st minutes.
The match also featured Peter Lakai, who scored two tries. For France, tries were scored by Damien Penaud, Antoine Dupont, Teo Attissogbe and Mathieu Jalibert, while France also had a try from Romain Luku (2 realisations) and Luka (penalty).
France scored without tries by Antoine Dupont and also another teammate scored a try through a pass/offload by Maka Spring before the try. According to L’ÉQUIPE, the French had a try in the first half of the match, while the first half of the match ended with two tries by Mathieu Jalibert in the 78th minute.
L’ÉQUIPE’s material also notes that the French team’s superiors had 11 points, while 18 points came from Japan’s match against Tokyo.
