The video, which allegedly showed the iPhone 18 Pro test on a pad, was revealed with X after the publication. As The Verge notes, the source of the leak was Evleaks, which published it, and the rest of the details were shared by others.

Meanwhile, an insider IceUniverse later claimed on Weibo that Apple had not yet blocked the video on platform X.

Following the leak, clips reportedly circulated among users. Monday, June 30, 2026, Reuters reported that footage of the iPhone 18 Pro photo test was posted on the dark web with the device’s Apple parts, Tata Electronics.

According to Reuters, the video shows test materials. In the video, which was posted on X, a series of shots from a phone camera show Apple’s logo on the back. Reuters also said Apple was “concerned” about the leak.

Reuters added that documents linked to iPhone 18 Pro, showing images of the device’s parts, indicate that the parts were produced by Tata at the end of 2026, and that the company’s parts were used by the same suppliers. The documents also mention that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co and Qualcomm.

The Verge previously noted that Apple did not respond to the request. Reuters later said Apple’s representative in Tata denied receiving the request.

Reuters reported that Apple is investigating the details of the leak, and is trying to determine whether the company’s parts were leaked without authorization. It also said Reuters may have received information from World Leaks for comment.
